Description
Sea stars are most abundantly observed at low tide.
This paddle is approximately 3-4 nautical miles long (5.5-7.5km), no experience necessary.
We will paddle along Saturna’s shorelines at a casual pace with plenty of time to view wildlife and take pictures of sea stars and other marine life that the exposed intertidal zone offers.
We may also see otters and harbor seals, cormorants, pigeon guillemots and bald eagles.
This guided tour includes the use of one of our kayaks (a mixture of single and tandem kayaks) and safety gear. The pace will be slow and the tour will take around 1.5 hours once we are on the water.
There is no beach break. We will stay in our kayaks and will not get our feet wet.
