This 90 Minute Kayak Tour puts you on the water along Saturna Island’s beautiful sheltered coastline, guided by an experienced guide who knows every corner of this remarkable shoreline.

Ninety minutes of pure paddling. Close to shore, at a comfortable pace, in some of the most stunning coastal scenery in British Columbia. Routes follow the sheltered shoreline, chosen on the day to suit sea conditions and the comfort of the group. The scenery is extraordinary. Weathered sandstone formations rise from the water, kelp beds sway in the current, and the Gulf Islands stretch out around you in every direction.

Wildlife is one of the great joys of paddling Saturna’s waters. River otters, harbour seals, sea stars, pigeon guillemots, oystercatchers, great blue herons, and bald eagles are among the creatures you may encounter. Every outing is different. Every one delivers something worth remembering.

Before you launch, you will talk through what the paddle will focus on, whether that is wildlife watching, taking in the scenery, or picking up some paddling technique along the way. Safety awareness is woven naturally into the experience, so you leave with a better understanding of the ocean environment around you as well as great memories.
